  I brought my dog to the veterinary specialty center because she broke her leg around 10:00pm. I freaked out and rushed her there, after waiting for 45 min for X-rays and pain meds to kick in, they brought us to a room to tell us she needs surgery. Surgery was an estimate of $6,000.00 plus they charged us $600.00 for the two hours we were there. I was shocked when I looked at the estimate and asked them if I have any other options so they offered to amputate the leg. I refused and knew I should look for a better solutions. They seemed very annoyed and angry when I told them the price was high so I took my dog home that same night because they wanted around $900.00 for my dog to stay until the morning. I brought her to Fox Lake Animal Hospital and they fixed her leg for much much much less and they seemed way more carrying about my dog then the money. I felt like the hospital is such a scam. The money they want to "help" owners fix their animals is crazy! I would never go back to this place again!

  Took our dog there on a Saturday night, had to wait almost two hours which its an emergency room situation you do what you have too. The staff was kind the doctor was knowledgeable and on point. the bill was reasonable considering the situation. It worked for us and thankful they where there. My only recommendation is that they stream lined there process a little better. get them in get them out. Too much dead time sitting waiting wondering whats next. I would go again in a heart beat hopefully I will not have too.
